Mindrift ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the Mindrift: Brain Training Games mobile application (the "App").
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Mindrift is designed with privacy at its core. We do not require you to create an account, provide your name, email address, or any other personal information to use the App.
1.2 Automatically Collected Information
We collect minimal data necessary to operate and improve the App:
- Game Progress Data: Scores, puzzle completions, streaks, XP, level progress, and cognitive performance metrics. This data is stored locally on your device using Apple's built-in storage frameworks.
- Subscription Status: Whether you have an active premium subscription, managed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat (our subscription management platform). We do not process or store your payment information directly.
- Device Information: Basic device type and operating system version may be collected for crash reporting and compatibility purposes.
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Names, email addresses, or account credentials
- Location data
- Contacts or address book
- Photos, camera, or microphone data
- Browsing history
- Advertising identifiers for ad targeting
- Health or fitness data
2. How We Use Information
The limited information we collect is used solely for:
- Providing the Service: Storing your game progress, tracking your cognitive performance, maintaining streaks, and managing your subscription status.
- Improving the App: Understanding general usage patterns (e.g., which games are most popular) to improve game design and user experience.
- Subscription Management: Verifying your premium subscription status through Apple's StoreKit and RevenueCat to provide access to premium features.
- Technical Support: Diagnosing and fixing bugs or crashes.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit: Processes all subscription payments. Apple's privacy policy governs how Apple handles your payment information. We never see or store your credit card details, Apple ID, or billing information.
- RevenueCat: Our subscription management platform that helps us verify subscription status and manage entitlements. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and subscription transaction data from Apple. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or other personally identifiable information from us. We do not use any advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or social media integrations. Mindrift contains zero ads and zero ad-related tracking.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: Your game progress and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults and standard iOS storage mechanisms.
- No Cloud Sync: We do not currently sync your data to external servers. Your data lives on your device.
- Encryption: Data at rest on your device is protected by Apple's built-in iOS encryption (Data Protection).
5. Data Retention
Because your game data is stored locally on your device:
- Your data persists as long as the App is installed on your device.
- Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored game data.
- Subscription records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat in accordance with their respective retention policies.
6. Children's Privacy
Mindrift is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Because we do not collect personal information from any user, no special data collection occurs for children.

7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access: You can view all your game data directly within the App.
- Deletion: You can delete all your data by uninstalling the App. You may also contact us to request deletion of any data associated with your device.
- Portability: Because data is stored locally, you have direct access to your data on your device.
- Opt-Out: Since we do not engage in tracking, profiling, or targeted advertising, there is no tracking to opt out of.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, you may exercise additional rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA respectively by contacting us.
8. International Users
Mindrift is available worldwide. Your game data is stored locally on your device and is not transferred internationally by us. Third-party services (Apple, RevenueCat) may process subscription data in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable international data transfer mechanisms.
9. Do Not Track
Mindrift does not track you. We honor Do Not Track signals by default because we do not engage in any cross-site or cross-app tracking. We do not use the Apple IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers).
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
